Information and Instructions Siro Air

The Siro Air chimney provides preheated combustion air to the fireplace, making it independent of other ventilation systems. The air circulation makes the chimney extremely fire-safe. Despite its advanced structure, the chimney's outer diameter is 20% narrower than competing products.

 

The chimney is also very easy and quick to install thanks to its own installation kit.

The Siro Air makeup air chimney is designed to deliver fresh, preheated combustion air from outside directly to the fireplace. Air circulation improves fire safety, minimizing the chimney's clearance distances.

 

With the Siro Air chimney:

  • The fireplace receives fresh, preheated combustion air through the chimney.
  • The fireplace is completely independent of the building's other ventilation.
  • Preheated combustion air (up to 100 °C) enhances the fireplace's combustion.
  • Fire safety is increased through air circulation.
  • No additional air intake openings are needed in the building's structure.

 

Applicability:

  • Tested for vertical installation and at 30° and 90° angles.
  • Tested according to EN 1856-1 and with EN 1859:2009 operational temperature and 1000 °C soot fire tests.
  • Tested for encased structures.

The product system includes an underlay and vapor barrier seal made from EPDM rubber compound, as well as roof sealing, when ordered. The chimney connections are tested for placement within building insulation. The chimney can be installed in an encased structure and through wall penetrations.

The fireplace connection forms a closed system. Combustion and the draft in the flue force the air to move down the channel in a counterflow. The air is heated by the exiting flue gases, making the fireplace operate more efficiently.
